The barefoot path

A fun and instructive path to discover mineral and vegetable mulches which are essential allies to eco-gardening.

At Epicurium, this year will be devoted to originality and sensoriality with a new permanent equipment: a barefoot path!
This 40 meters long path is located at the heart of the orchard and is made of 14 squares with different mulches like miscanthus, clay pellets or even buckwheat hulls…to discover bare-foot!

This project was born from the idea of raising awareness of simple techniques to environmental preservation, while offering a sensory, original and easy to reach experience. It was opened on the 1st of April, when Epicurium reopened to individuals for the season.

This path was set up thanks to private contributions: the Fondation Louis Bonduelle, the Fibre verte company, and 30 investors on the crowdfunding site “Ulule”…many thanks to them
